The physical and explosive nature of soccer can leave players open to multiple types of sports injuries without the proper conditioning.

Strength training and conditioning is an important component of training for growing athletes because ultimately it means more speed, more power and most importantly a reduction in sports related injuries.

Good Lad Soccer is delighted to announce our partnership with Christi Tilden from Fitness By Christi to provide our players with injury prevention & strength training.

Christi’s experience with strength training started as a High School track athlete. She wanted her speed and race times to improve so she took a weightlifting class to help build up her legs and glutes. She quickly fell in love with strength training and competed in her High School Bodybuilding competition and took home the title 4 years consecutively.

Christi is now a Personal Trainer and has been teaching group exercise classes at various locations of the First Coast YMCA for almost 9 years.  Her classes are very diverse and include all styles of training such as; Strength Training, HIIT, TRX, Core, Boot Camp, and Indoor Cycling.  She is most passionate about weight training and wants to encourage everyone to get moving!
